Contact Details for Members of Disability Reform Council

We’re focusing on influencing change via the Disability Reform Council. Here’s some information about the Reform Council, taken from the website of the Council of Australian Governments:

The Council of Australian Governments Disability Reform Council provides a forum for member Governments to discuss matters of mutual interest and progress key national reform in disability policy including the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The Disability Reform Council oversees the trial and implementation of the NDIS and will make recommendations to COAG on the transition to NDIS full scheme. The Disability Reform Council will also ensure a broad range of reforms are implemented through the National Disability Agreement and the National Disability Strategy to support people with disability, their families and carers.

Information on People on the Disability Reform Council

The Disability Reform Council is chaired by the Commonwealth Minister responsible for disability and consists of Commonwealth, State and Territory Ministers within disability and treasury portfolios, as well as a representative from the Australian Local Government Association.

Information About What to Do

We need as many individuals as possible to contact the people who sit on the Disability Reform Council to explain how they feel about the age 65 cut-off under the NDIS and the inadequate level of support that is currently being afforded to older people with disability through My Aged Care. You’ll find contact details for key members of the Disability Reform Council below.
